Spring is here! If you live in the north then it's time to
dig your bike out of the garage and start planning your
summer rides.
If you are lucky enough to live in the south, then you've
been riding around enjoying the mild winter weather, but
now the humidity is creeping back so it's time to plan that
trip north to escape the heat.
PLANNING: I have added some great new scenic touring
destinations to the articles section, check them out under
rides & tours. You will find information on the Cherohala
Skyway in North Carolina, Skyline Drive in Virginia, and
the Black Canyon in Colorado. I have added to the books in
our planning section, so give them a look and start
planning your summer rides.
I have been busy adding new campgrounds to the motorcycle
camping section too. If you know of a great campground that
is motorcycle friendly please e-mail me and I will add it
to the list. I need the name of the campground,the state or
provence it is in, an approximate location, and the
amenties it provides. If it is a private campground and has
a website please include this also.
Speaking of camping, it's time to make a reservation for
Sturgis if you haven't done so already. I have a lot of
campgrounds listed for you, so check it out and find a
place to stay. Go to the links page, scroll down to
motorcycle friendly campgrounds and look at South Dakota.
PRODUCTS: I'm pleased to be able to offer the Traction
Control Braking Device. I feel it is an important safety
addition for your bike. It keeps your wheel from locking up
in a panic stop, it's especially great for new riders and
people who travel through high traffic areas. Check it out
and consider adding one to your bike before your next tour.
Another new product I just added is the Kruzer Kaddy. This
is a wonderful,detachable cup holder with an insulated
lining to hold your beverage while you ride. It is also
great for holding your cell phone, ipod, sunglasses or
other small items. I have new toolbags, raingear and
leather jackets, so give them a look too. I also have a new
affiliation with Diamond Back Jewelry. They have beautiful,
heavy, solid gold and silver biker jewelry -eagles, iron
crosses, v-twin engines, cruisers, and more. Click on their
logo at the bottom of the home page to check them out.
