TOURING DEPOT NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2008

Fall is in full swing and the holiday season is upon us. Time to winterize the bike, unless you live in the south and can enjoy winter riding. If you live and ride in Florida, please be careful, the snowbirds have returned. Avoid the multi-lane highways if possible. I witnessed a near miss the other day. The poor biker was almost taken out on US19 by an elderly driver from Michigan. You have to drive defensively and really keep a watch on the cars around you.

PLANNING: Time to start your Christmas shopping. Place your orders soon to avoid the christmas rush. I have added some new items to the Gift Section. I have also added a Holiday section filled with some fun biker decorations for Christmas.

This is also a great time to start planning your Spring and Summer motorcycle tours. Make plans to visit a state you have never been to before. I found a wonderful new website called Sunday Morning Rides. They are a Motorcycle Ride Map Resource With Over 1000 Rides. You can print out the maps or download them to your GPS. You can also share your favorite rides. Everything is free. Check them out in the LINKS Section under Roads.

PRODUCTS:
I Added a Motorcycle Radar Detector, a red light changer, a LED helmet marker(makes you more visable at night), and a Jiffy stand coaster(goes under your kickstand when parking your bike on soft ground). Look in TRAVEL ACCESSORIES for these new items.

In our books section I added a page that is all Harley Davidson books.

Get your 2009 Harley Davidson calendar in the Gifts Section

EVENTS: International Motorcycle Show will be in Dallas, TX on November 14-16, 2008 and then in Houston, TX on November 21-23, 2008.
This is a quiet time of year for rallies and events. You can check out www.motorcyclemonster.com for local bike nights and toy runs in your area. If you are involved with any rallies or biker events in your local area, please email me, leah@touringdepot.com and we will get them onto the calendar for 2009.
Take Care and Ride Safe!
