TOURING DEPOT NEWSLETTER FOR MARCH 2009
It's time for the first big bike rally of the year, Daytona Beach Bike Week is going on right now. Florida is beautiful this time of year, we are enjoying 80 degree weather. If you have never experienced Daytona Bike Week, make a plan for next year. There is nothing better then riding your bike along the beach, in the sun, while the rest of the country is dealing with snow and rain. If you live in the north, remember Spring is just around the corner. It's time to start thinking about getting your bike out of storage, and getting it tuned up. Start planning for your first Spring ride.
PLANNING: Thinking about where to go to this year? Discover West Virginia. The best time to visit is from April through October. I have just added lots of information on touring West Virginia in my touring by state section. It's a beautiful state with great roads to ride and lots of outdoor activities to explore. It's very motorcycle friendly and there are lots of free maps available to help you find the best roads to ride. check it out http://www.touringdepot.com/mcwestvirginia.html
PRODUCTS:
I have been searching Amazon, and have found a few new cool products to add to our site. Under Travel Accessories check out the McCuff Motorcycle Fill. This gadget protects your bike from spills and splashes when filling up the gas tank. It stops the level of fuel perfectly on one click. I also added a garage door opener for your motorcycle, and the magnetic map pocket. In the Motorcycle Covers section I added a cover alarm. Motorcycle covers are great when traveling, to help prevent people from messing with your bike. Add an alarm to your bike cover for piece of mind and you'll know if someone is trying to get into your bike.
