TOURING DEPOT NEWSLETTER FOR FEBRUARY 2010

Daytona Beach Bike Week kicks off the riding season with the first rally of the year on February 26th. Head to Florida's East Coast for some fun in the sun. Need a place to stay? We have updated the Motorcycle Florida page with some campgrounds for Bike Week. http://www.touringdepot.com/mcflorida.html

PLANNING:
As a biker, you already know that buzz of excitement you get when you're preparing for a motorcycle tour, we have been busy adding new links and information to help you plan your best tour this year. Wisconsin is a beautiful state for motorcycle touring. Ron and I have traveled along the river road in Wisconsin and highly recommend it. It's definitely a state we would like to ride more of. We have added 2 new links in the roads section you might want to check out if you are thinking about traveling to Wisconsin. http://www.touringdepot.com/links.html "Wisconsin Motorcycling" offers roads and maps and "U.P. Cruising" has lots of information for Michigans Upper Peninsula, above Wisconsin. We have also added "Motorcycling Across Wisconsin" by William Murphy to the Touring Books section. http://www.touringdepot.com/books.html

Do you love to camp when your touring? We have added a link to the site "Motocampers" in the links section under Motorcycle Accommodations. You will find lots of campgrounds recommended by other riders and you can search them out by state. We have also added many new links to our listing of Motorcycle Friendly campgrounds, motels, bed & breakfast places and rental cabins. They are listed by state in the links section under Motorcycle Camping & Lodging.

If you want to focus your tour on a specific state, then check out our Touring By State section. We have information on Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia & Arkansas. We have added updates to these pages recently. http://www.touringdepot.com/touring.html

Are you new to riding and not sure about taking off on your own to tour? Maybe a guided tour is what you need. We recommend Open Road America Motorcycle Tours. They Provide upscale guided motorcycle tours throughout the United Stated, filled full of back twisty roads and tons of fun. They take care of the details; all you have to do is enjoy. They do tours around Florida, the Smoky Mountains, New England, Grand Canyon and more. There is a 2010 schedule posted on their site. Check them out at www.openroadamerica.net and if you decide to book a tour, let them know that Ron Lind of Touring Depot referred you.
